Gel-filled Armoured Duct Cable

It is an outdoor communication cable with a metallic central strength member. The fibres are positioned in loose tubes filled with a water-blocking gel compound. The tubes and fillers are multi-tube stranded around the strength member into a circular cable core. The core is armoured with laminated aluminium/steel tape. Between the corrugated steel tape and the loose tube, water-blocking material is applied to keep the cable compact and watertight.

Application

This fibre optic cable is used for long-distance backbone networks due to its high optical fibre capacity and low signal attenuation.
The gel-filled armoured duct cable is commonly used in industrial environments such as manufacturing plants, where it can withstand harsh conditions and physical damage.

Product Benefits

Good mechanical and temperature performance.
High strength loose tube that is hydrolysis resistant.
Special tube filling compound ensures a critical protection of fibre.
Crush resistance and flexibility.
PE sheath protects cable from ultraviolet radiation.
